"Somebody That I Used to Know" is a song by Belgian-Australian singer -songwriter Gotye, from his third studio album Making Mirrors.The song (lyrically about his relationship experiences) was written, produced and recorded by Gotye in his parent’s barn on the Mornington Peninsula.
The track
was released on 6 July 2011 as the second and lead single off the album and features New Zealand singer Kimbra.
